Andie Tucker

Andie was raised in Goshen, Kentucky, where she spent her free time swimming, riding horses, and being involved in the Church. She is a 2023 graduate of Furman University with degrees in psychology and poverty studies. Andie spent the summers of her college years here in Hayesville, falling in love with our little mountain community through her work at Hinton Rural Life Center. While at Furman, Andie was on the leadership team of her college ministry group, as well as the Director of Philanthropy of her sorority. The position of ‘Director of Philanthropy’ allowed her to spend a year working with a St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital representative, educating her college community about childhood illness, as well as fundraising for St. Jude’s cause. As graduation was approaching, a job opened up at The Still Place, and Andie knew that this is where she needed to begin her career. Andie joined her fiancé, Charlie, in his hometown of Hayesville, and she began helping us create more of our Still Place magic! At The Still Place, Andie is able to grow her love for the nonprofit sector, give wonderful experiences to families like those she worked with through St. Jude, and engage with our wonderful community. She is proud to represent The Still Place, and finds joy in pouring love into our families and volunteers! In her free time, she is often found out around town or on an outdoor adventure, but Andie’s favorite activity is spending time in the company of her family and friends.
