More about Dawn Grinenko
Dr. Dawn spent 30 years in Gainesville where she completed medical school and an Internal Medicine residency. After spending some time in Chapel Hill, she finished pediatric training and came back to join the faculty of Pediatrics, Community and Family Medicine and Internal Medicine in Gainesville. Dawn's patients taught her that there was way more to their lives than their illness. She saw their struggles and those of their loved ones: parents, siblings, grandparents and friends. For many years she dreamed of creating a place where kids and parents with serious illness could just rest and maybe work or play in nature for a while; where they could get away from the worries and stresses that sometimes consumed their lives. She always dreamed this place would be a farm but instead it turned out to be The Still Place in the magical forests of the Tusquittee Valley in Hayesville, North Carolina.
Currently, she works as a Hospitalist, in Hendersonville North Carolina where she cares for adults in the hospital.
Dawn loves to garden, hike, whitewater raft and play in the Lake and Creek. She absolutely loves to visit on porches, sew quilts, knit, cook for lots of people, shop for antiques (junky ones) and play with children. She still likes make believe and fairies.
