About Marjorie Hobkirk
Marjorie completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Fiber and Textile Arts from Arizona State University in 1996 while nursing and raising her sons, Peter and Andrew in Fountain Hills, Arizona. Outside of a long and varied career in Nursing she has found deep satisfaction in pursuing weaving, spinning, printmaking, painting and drawing. When it comes to the arts, Marjorie celebrates diversity and cherishes time spent fostering that with children, her own children and now her grandchildren as well as other people's children.
Marjorie enjoys volunteering with The Still Place because it gives her the opportunity to create and play with others in a beautiful human and physical environment. In addition, she loves helping to foster hope and healing by creating art with the children and families who enjoy a Still Place retreat.
